She's rude
Obnoxious
When she's honest
People get scared
So she lies every day
She's filled his ears
With what he wants to hear
Occasionally she tests him
Showing bits of herself
Letting him see inside
To her molten core
He's horrified
They're always horrified
They always get confused
Why can't she just be normal?
Why can't she just be sweet?
Why can't she have steady dreams?
Doesn't she realize
She has to let go
Don't they see
She's bound to the darkness
Intertwined in it
All she wants
All she ever wanted
Was someone who'd listen
As the truth-
Black and pure-
Spilled out of her mouth
Condescendingly
Unabashedly
And he'd understand
That she is slanted
And no true reflection
Will ever be found
